Distro

A distribution unit with an input connector and one or more outputs feeding equipment or downstream distribution.

Auto Source

A source automatically generated from an eligible distro output so another distro can be fed downstream.

Phase imbalance

A measure of uneven loading between L1, L2 and L3 on a three-phase supply.

Connected load

The total real-power rating of equipment assigned to a circuit before diversity is applied.

Design load

The connected real-power load after the circuit diversity percentage has been applied.

Power factor

The ratio used to convert real power in watts to apparent power in volt-amperes for the advanced current calculation.

Parallel runs

Two or more equivalent cable runs installed in parallel to share the circuit current.

Derating factor

A multiplier applied to cable current capacity to account for relevant installation and environmental conditions.

Cumulative voltage drop

The total calculated voltage drop across the upstream feeder path and the current cable section.
