Downstream Distribution
Downstream distribution lets the planner represent real cascaded systems while maintaining source-level calculations.
How downstream feeds work
When an eligible distro output can feed another distro, the planner creates an Auto Source for that output. Eligible connections are 32A and 63A single phase and 16A through 400A three phase. A compatible child distro can then be assigned from the output card.
Compatibility rules
The planner filters available downstream options to avoid incompatible connector types, duplicated assignments and circular feed loops.
The editor prevents a distro from being fed by one of its own downstream children.
Load propagation
Loads assigned to a downstream distro are included in the individual parent output, parent phase totals, parent distro total and upstream source calculations across every hierarchy level.
Moving through the hierarchy
Use Open downstream distro on a linked output to move to its child. On a downstream board, expand Parent distro phase draw to review the upstream balance or select Open parent distro to navigate back to the feeding board.
