Best Practice
A practical checklist for preparing reliable project files and reports.
Recommended build order
Build projects in a consistent order: project information, manual sources, distros, source assignment, equipment assignment, downstream feeds, warning review and report export.
Before exporting reports
Review System Overview, check unassigned distros, confirm report toggles, resolve critical warnings and export a JSON backup. In an advanced workspace, also review Engineering Overview, document diversity and power-factor assumptions, resolve cable failures and confirm that current cable inputs have been competently verified. Before issuing sign-off documentation, check every selected G2 circuit, instrument record, required G1 and applicable G3, then confirm the completion tracker is satisfied.
Record keeping
Keep dated project exports for major revisions so the design history can be recovered if needed.
