BS 7909 Online Documentation Software

LVA Power Planner helps teams prepare and manage BS7909 documentation online. The G1, G2 and G3 workflow brings project identification, supply details, circuit schedules, test results and completion declarations into a connected project. This page explains the software's documentation tools: it is not an online copy of BS 7909 or a substitute for the applicable published standard.

G1 — Completion Certificate

Prepare a certificate for each manual supply, add an additional certificate where needed, or group supplies assigned to a generator. Supply information and calculated demand can populate the form while users retain control of overrides, inspection entries and declarations. Mark a certificate as not required when it does not apply to the record being prepared.

G2 — Schedule of Test Results

Choose circuits from the project or add manual rows. Available descriptions, circuit ratings and protection details reduce transcription. Record the actual inspection and test information alongside instrument details. Any enabled forecasts are indicative design information, not a replacement for measured results.

G3 — Confirmation of Electrical Completion

Collate the G1 certificate references, subsystem descriptions, responsible people and organisations. Review automatically supplied details and override them where necessary. G3 can be marked as not applicable and excluded from the exported pack when it is not required.

Online access and PDF records

Use secure electrician links to work with freelancers without creating workspace accounts. Save a version before issuing the paperwork, then export a branded PDF pack or submit it by email. Forms and submitted versions remain linked to the project, keeping the design and the issued documentation distinguishable.
